01 / CAPTURE
A surface to work with.
Draw your room wall by wall, or start with a standard shape. Exact dimensions drive the tile layout.
Click the first corner, then each wall end. Or enter a wall length and direction below. Click the first corner again to close.
Click the first corner in the preview.
Drag a corner to adjust it. Scroll to zoom. Right-drag to pan. Angles are measured counterclockwise from right.
The notch is at the upper-right corner.
Use feet, inches, fractions or millimeters. Unitless dimensions are inches.
All pieces share the same origin and direction, including those around openings.
02 / THE PHYSICAL PIECE
Actual dimensions.
Enter the manufactured size. Joint width is added to the pattern module.
Set sheet dimensions or hexagon size under Pattern.
Colors update the preview immediately. Grout shows between tiles at the selected joint width.
Use 24 in, 600 mm, or 2′ 6 1/2″. Unitless entries use inches.
Preview uses actual tile dimensions. Boundary cuts and openings are calculated by the DORN Tile engine.
03 / REPEAT
Choose the arrangement.
Arrangement and rotation presets update the preview automatically.
Enter inches, feet or millimeters. Size snaps to whole pieces; staggered sheets use pairs of rows.
Piece count per sheet
Repeat dimensions include grout. Match the manufacturer's piece count and joint spacing. Hexagon and penny sheets use staggered rows and need an even row count; mesh edges may extend beyond the repeat.
Penny rounds use 64-sided circles for preview and exports (area error below 0.17%). Layouts support up to 50,000 individual pieces.
Presets are saved on this device. Portable layout files also retain the sheet dimensions and pattern settings. Size changes update on Enter or leaving the field.
For a typed angle, press Enter or leave the field to update.
Choose alignment, then click a boundary in the plan. Zigzag aligns the herringbone spine; tile sides aligns the rectangular edges.
04 / POSITION & EDGES
Offsets accept inches, feet or fractions. Press Enter or leave the field to update. Positive U moves right; positive V moves up.
Each click moves the pattern by this distance across the room. Try 1 in or 1/8 in for fine alignment.
No assigned edges. Select edges in the plan.
Rectangular strips with butt corners. Width + clearance reduces the field. Not a Schluter catalog section.

DRAWING SHEETS / BASELINE 1.4.0
One stock tile per occupied pattern position. Sheets count occupied sheet repeats, without reusing partial sheets. Waste excludes kerf, breakage, purchase allowance and offcut reuse. Profile lengths follow source edges, not purchase cuts.
PDF includes a clear tile plan, separate wall and opening dimensions, and quantities. SVG exports the plan sheet. Print at 100% / Actual size. Sheet settings are saved with each layout.
