End User License Agreement

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 18, 2026 · LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 18, 2026

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is between you and Dorn Enterprises ("DORN," "Licensor") and governs your use of DORN Extensions software, including updates, documentation and product data supplied with it (the "Software"). By installing, activating or using the Software, you agree to this EULA. If you don't agree, don't install or use the Software. Our Terms of Service also apply, including the dispute resolution terms in Section 15 of those Terms.

In plain terms: you subscribe for the right to use the tools, your models stay yours, the Software runs on your computer, and it is a design aid that a qualified professional must check, not an engineering or code-compliance tool.

1. License grant

Subject to this EULA and payment of applicable fees, DORN grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Software for your internal professional or personal purposes during your subscription term:

2. Restrictions

Except as this EULA expressly allows or as applicable law permits despite this restriction, you may not:

3. Activation and license checks

The Software requires activation. To activate and periodically validate your license, it sends your license key, a hashed machine identifier, your SketchUp version and operating system to our license server, as described in our Privacy Policy. An internet connection is needed for activation and occasional validation. You can deactivate a computer to move a license to another.

4. Privacy and your data

The Software stores your models, product libraries and exports only on your computer and does not transmit them to DORN. It contains no advertising, analytics or usage tracking. Information sent for licensing is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Trimble Inc. is not responsible for the privacy, security or integrity of any information collected by DORN or the Software.

5. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. DORN and its licensors own all rights in the Software, including symbols, templates, documentation and the DORN name and wordmark. You own the models, drawings and exports you create; DORN claims no rights in your content.

6. Third-party software and data

The Software runs inside SketchUp and uses SketchUp and LayOut programming interfaces. You must hold your own valid SketchUp license, and your use of SketchUp is governed by Trimble's terms. Trimble Inc. is not a party to this EULA and has no responsibility for the Software or for support of it. Manufacturer names, model numbers and specifications included with or imported into the Software are provided for convenience, may be incomplete or out of date, and remain the property of their respective owners; verify them against current manufacturer documentation.

7. Updates and support

During an active subscription you are entitled to updates we release for your plan and to support as described on our Support page. Updates may add, change or remove features. We aim to support current SketchUp releases but cannot guarantee compatibility with every version or future release.

8. Term and termination

This EULA lasts while you have an active subscription or an authorized beta or trial. It ends automatically if your subscription ends or if you materially breach this EULA and don't cure the breach within 15 days of notice. When it ends, the DORN tools stop placing and editing items. Fixtures, symbols, swags and labels already in your models remain as ordinary SketchUp geometry, and exported LayOut and PDF files remain yours to use.

9. Professional responsibility

The Software is a design and documentation aid. It does not perform electrical, lighting, structural or energy calculations, does not represent conductor routing or circuiting, and does not verify compliance with the National Electrical Code, California Title 24, building or accessibility codes, utility requirements or manufacturer instructions. Diagram sheets it exports are not to scale. You are solely responsible for reviewing all output and for the accuracy, suitability and legal compliance of any drawing, specification or installation, which must be reviewed and approved by a qualified, licensed professional where the law requires.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, DORN disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement and accuracy, and any warranty that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted or compatible with your systems. Beta and evaluation versions are provided without any warranty.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DORN is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, models, profits, revenue, business or professional fees, or for construction defects, delays, code violations or claims arising from drawings, specifications or installations, however caused. DORN's total liability under this EULA is limited to the greater of the fees you paid for the Software in the 12 months before the claim arose or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

12. Export and government use

You will comply with US export control and sanctions laws and will not export or use the Software in embargoed countries or by sanctioned persons. The Software is commercial computer software; if used by a US government entity, it is provided with only the rights in this EULA.
