Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dorn Enterprises ("DORN," "we," "us") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit dorndidit.com (the "Site") or use DORN Extensions software (the "Software"). Our Cookie & Tracking Policy is part of this policy.
In plain terms: the Site collects your email only when you give it to us (beta signup or support request), and cookieless aggregate analytics. The Software sends only a license key and a hashed machine ID for activation. Your models, libraries and exports never leave your computer. We don't sell or share your personal information.
1. Information we collect
From the Site
- Beta signup: your work email and the design discipline you select (residential, commercial, lighting design, other).
- Support requests: your name, email and whatever you tell us about your issue, including model files if you attach them.
- Aggregate analytics: page views, referrers, country and device type, via Cloudflare's cookieless analytics. No cookies, no cross-site tracking. See our Cookie Policy.
From the Software
- License activation and validation: your license key, a one-way hashed machine identifier, your SketchUp version and operating system. This is sent to our license server when you activate and periodically thereafter.
- Nothing else: your SketchUp models, product libraries, exports, custom symbols and project data are stored only on your computer. They are never transmitted to DORN.
2. How we use information
- To send beta invitations and product updates (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- To respond to support requests.
- To validate licenses and prevent unauthorized use.
- To understand aggregate traffic patterns on the Site.
We do not use your personal information for advertising.
3. What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your personal information.
- We don't track you across other websites.
- We don't use advertising cookies or social media pixels.
- The Software contains no analytics, usage tracking or advertising code.
- We don't use your models, libraries or exports for any purpose — we never receive them.
4. Service providers

Each provider is bound by its own privacy obligations. We share only what is necessary to provide the service.
5. Data retention
- Beta signup data is kept until the beta ends and you're either invited or notified.
- Support request data is kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable follow-up.
- License validation data is kept for the life of your subscription plus a short period for record-keeping.
- You can request deletion of your personal information at any time (see below).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have about you;
- Request a copy of your personal information;
- Request correction or deletion of your personal information;
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

7. California privacy (CCPA / CPRA)
We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We don't process sensitive personal information. If you are a California resident, you have the rights listed above plus the right to limit use of sensitive personal information and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. 8. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. The Software runs on your computer and stores data locally. License validation data is transmitted over an encrypted connection. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
The Site and Software are not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. International users
If you access the Site or Software from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Site or Software, you consent to that transfer. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and other jurisdictions with comprehensive data protection laws may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing, the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We process personal information on the legal bases of your consent, our legitimate interests in operating the Site and Software, and the performance of our contract with you. 11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We'll post the changes on this page and update the effective date. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email if we have your address.
